GOP endorses Barry Cheney’s bid for Orange County Legislature

WARWICK — Barry Cheney of Warwick has received the endorsement of the Republican Committee for County Legislator representing District 8.

Cheney is a Warwick Village Trustee who also serves as deputy mayor.

Prior to being elected to the village board in 2008, he served on the Village Planning Board for 23 years, including six as chairman. He has a degree in civil/environmental engineering from Clarkson University and has worked as a consulting engineer for almost 40 years serving both government and private sector clients.

The redrawn Legislature District 8 includes:

The Village of Warwick and the area east of Brady Road and south of Route 17A.

The Village of Greenwood Lake and the area in the Town of Warwick east of Mt. Peter.

The entire Town of Tuxedo including the Village of Tuxedo Park.
