— Support for local health care and the spirit of philanthropy rang loud and clear at Good Samaritan Hospital’s 32nd annual Spring Ball on April 21.
More than 300 physicians, health care administrators, board members, staff and friends raised more than $225,000 at the ball, the hospital’s largest annual fund raiser.
Good Samaritan, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network, held the event at The Rockleigh.
Proceeds from the Spring Ball help make it possible for the hospital to expand and enhance essential programs and services.
Good Samaritan Hospital also recognized two honorees for exceptional service at the ball each year:
The Good Samaritan Medal of Honor was awarded to Sam Fratto of Newburgh and IBEW Local Union 363, stalwart supporters of the hospital and numerous local charities for many years.
Dr. Harry Boltin received the Sister Joseph Rita Award for Medical Excellence. Boltin, a radiologist with Ramapo Radiology Associates, based at GSH, has served the region since 1970.
"This year’s Spring Ball was a tremendous success, thanks to the individuals and organizations who shared their support," said Harold Peterson, chair of the Good Samaritan Foundation. "Their sponsorships, donations, attendance and enthusiasm will help the hospital continue to invest in state-of-the-art resources,”
