TUXEDO — The Advanced Art students from George F. Baker High School in Tuxedo will be displaying their talents at the Greenwood Lake Public Library during the month of May.

The work to be showcased includes painting, drawing and, pen and ink.

Some of the compositions are based on cool and warm colors painted around silhouette shapes that are then inked in using complex zentangle designs. Zentangle is a popular form of pen and ink drawing that originated from doodles and now has developed into an intricate art form. Students added new twists and “tangles” to their work.

Also included are selected works from other projects including watercolors and drawings.

The students’ work will also be included in the Junior Jubilee Art Show to be held at the Greenwood Lake Public Library beginning May 18.
