Florida. Voters approve Florida Public Library budget, re-elect trustees

Voters approved the Florida Public Library’s 2025-26 budget Thursday, April 10, by a vote of 120 to 9.

The tax levy is $532,057.

Two trustees also were re-elected to full three-year teams, Tyler Carey with 121 votes and Sara Taylor with 120 votes.

“We are grateful for the continued support our community has shown the library,” Library Director Meg Sgombick said in announcing the results. “And we look forward to providing the programs and services they need now and in the future.”
