First to serve: New research on Warwick in the Revolutionary War

WARWICK — The Albert Wisner Public Library and the The Friends of Hathorn House will present new discoveries about the area in Revolutionary days on Sunday, Jan. 14, at 1:30 p.m.
• What eyewitness stories do the pension applications of Warwick veterans tell?
• What places does Washington’s map maker note that reveal long-hidden stories of the war in the community?
Members of the Friends of Hathorn House research team and living history group will share recently unearthed evidence of the struggle for liberty in Warwick.
The program is open to all area adults, teens and attentive older children; registration is required. Register online at albertwisnerlibrary.org or call the Help Desk at 845-986-1047 option 3.
Meanwhile, the Friends of Hathorn House will hold their annual meeting and election of officers at the Community Room of Albert Wisner Public Library earlier on Sunday, Jan. 14, at 12:15 p.m.
This, too, is open to all. For more information, email hathornhouse@gmail.com.
