Final call for contributions to Warwick Playground Dreams

    — Warwick Playground Dreams is in the final fund-raising stage for the large-scale playground refurbishment of the equipment at Stanley-Deming Park.
As this stage draws to a close, Warwick Playground Dreams is inspired by the incredible support shown by the families and businesses in our community, as well as by the Village of Warwick and local civic organizations.
Excitement is building, as the playground’s architects at Play By Design, have this week conducted their onsite visit with the Warwick Playground Dreams Committee, to discuss the logistics of the build.
The new playground will last for decades to come, and will safely accommodate the youngest tots, challenge and excite children into their early teens and will provide ADA-accessible features for both children and their caregivers to enjoy.
Engraved picketsThrough the end of the month of February, area residents still have the opportunity to purchase an engraved picket. Engraved bricks will continue to be available through the end of March.
These sponsorships will not only help to sponsor building costs, but will also provide an opportunity to send a loving message, honor or remember a family member, or just give the children in your family the gift of seeing their name at their childhood playground for decades to come!
The pickets, made of enduring structural plastic lumber, will enclose the “Tot Lot,” ensuring a safe and engaging play space for the youngest children.
Brick paversThe brick pavers will line the walkways throughout our beautiful park. Family Brick pricing is $50 for a 4x8 brick, and $100 for an 8x8 brick.
The large bricks can support an engraved quote, message of love or even (for an additional $25) the artwork of a child, which can be emailed in pdf format to warwickplaygrounddreams@gmail.com.
Businesses may also sponsor bricks at $250 for the 4x8 and $500 for the 8x8 size and may include their business’s logo.
Build Week volunteersAs Build Week (Monday, April 22, through Sunday, April 28) approaches, Warwick Playground Dreams is also asking people of all abilities to volunteer to help with the playground’s construction. No construction experience is necessary, and this community build model promises to be an incredible, life-changing experience for all involved.
The playground will be built in seven consecutive days by 200 community volunteers per day.
Ten work crew team leaders are needed, to commit to being at the playground on all seven days of construction.
Other volunteer shifts are broken down into four-hour increments.
