Fav’s Treatery hosts grand opening

WARWICK — On Dec. 6, Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Mayor Michael Newhard, Bill Fioravanti, membership vice president of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined co-owner Michael Bagley and his staff for the grand opening of Fav’s Treatery at Railroad Square.
The new location, the second Fav’s Treatery in the Warwick Valley, occupies a street entrance bay of the Garage at the Eclectic Eye antique shop at 16-18 Railroad Ave. in the Village of Warwick.
Bagley and Mehdi Youcef, owners of Fav’s Treatery, opened their original shop at 162 North Main St. in the Village of Florida in August 2011. Fav’s at The Lafayette Emporium will be opening soon in nearby Lafayette, N.J.
“We always knew that Warwick was a good fit for us,” said Bagley. “Before opening in Warwick, we read the menu of the town to see what was missing, as we wanted to complement existing fare.”
As a result, in addition to its pastries, sandwiches, salads, Italian roast coffees, espressos and lattes, Fav’s has added a selection of authentic Italian gelato as a welcome addition to its other popular menu items.
“We are very excited about adding to our presence in the region with these new ventures,” said Bagley. “And we welcome lovers of all fine treats to stop in and enjoy some of our creations as we work to become one of your Fav’s.”
Fav’s Treatery at Railroad Square is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Closing times may be extended during special village events.
