WARWICK — It's been a bountiful year and this Sunday, Nov. 19, the Warwick Farmers Market, just one block off Main Street and at a parking area along South Street in the Village of Warwick, will have everything from appetizers, to main courses, pies, torts, cookies, cookie bars, pickles, wine, ciders and beer, and more for your Thanksgiving dinner.
Since the early spring, the Farmers Market, now in its 24th year of operation, has been a popular destination for visitors and residents every Sunday, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
But why not offer shoppers a last-minute opportunity to purchase fresh local produce for Thanksgiving Day.
So once again the market will be open for one last Sunday before the holiday.
Many people do not know that the Farmers Market remains open through the Sunday before Thanksgiving. But the Hudson Valley is in the height of the growing and harvesting season with pumpkins, apples, more pears and fall fruits and all those Thanksgiving vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, cabbages and late spinaches. And the Warwick Farmers Market offers the freshest local produce.
Sunday is also the beginning of Home for the Holidays and local shops and restaurants consider the market an asset because it often attracts between 800 and 1,000 additional visitors to the downtown business area.
So this Sunday, November 19, come on down. The Market will be open as usual.
