WARWICK — America's newest craze has made its way to the Village of Warwick.
On Friday, Aug. 11, Village of Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined business partner Michael Metzger, his wife, Kerry and their three children and other members of their family to celebrate the grand opening of Escape Room Warwick.
The team-building and party center, located on the second floor at 56 Main St., invites groups of any size, to be placed into a themed room and work together to solve puzzles, interpret clues, and overcome challenges in order to solve the mystery and escape the room.
Metzger explained that from kids to adults, Escape Room Warwick offers fun and entertainment for all ages.
"Our escape room experience," he said, "is the perfect venue for birthday parties, family reunions, bachelor and bachelorette parties, corporate retreats, or just a fun night out with friends."
Participants are asked to put themselves to the test.
Teamwork, clear communication, organization skills, and thinking "outside the box" will be the order of the day.
From sliding bookshelves that reveal secret passages to mysterious mirrors; you never know what the "Puzzle Cell" has in store and what clues will lead to your escape.
"We offer the largest capacity rooms in the tri-state area," said Metzger. "Our venue also features a variety of other entertainment items such as a private meeting room, a private dining room, and 'Minutes to Win It games."
