Edenville's mineral riches and the Youngs

WARWICK — The Albert Wisner Public Library will host a talk by Ken Lifshitz of the Orange County Mineralogical Society on the legacy of James and Silas Young, amateur geologists who helped discover the riches of the famous Franklin Marble formation.

The lecture will take place Tuesday, Aug. 5, at 6:30 p.m. in the library's community room.

"James Parshall Young's Rock Gardens of Edenville" explores these unique minerals and crystals, which are world famous.

The talk is open to all interested; to reserve a seat, register on the library's website or call the Help Desk at 986-1047 ext. 3.
