EDENVILLE — The Edenville General Store, a popular deli/market and eatery at 240 Pine Island Turnpike, has a new dinner menu thanks to a dynamic duo in the kitchen.
"We are proud to announce two new inventive chefs that are bringing us to a new level, Ms. Campbell and Corey. We refer to them as the 'Dynamic Duo," said co-owner Debbie Walter.
"And our busy little baker, Meghan Taylor, will also be whipping up some great goodies for desert."
On Friday, Oct. 28, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined owners Joseph and Debbie Walter and their staff to celebrate the introduction of the restaurant's new dinner menu.
The building that is now home to the Edenville General Store was an International Harvester dealership until 1972.
It was built in 1952 by Frank Walter. And in 1986, Walter's son Joseph and his wife, Debbie, purchased it. .
For many years they rented out the deli area but in 2014, after the last tenant had moved out, they decided to open their own deli/market.
Now they will be serving dinner from 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday.
There will be a daily appetizer and hickory smoked plates along with chicken, beef and fish specials. Dinner will include a fresh vegetable and a comfort food of the day.
All the specials and a full menu will be on Facebook or can be faxed or described by phone.
"Just call and we'll be happy to let you know what we have," said Walter.
Dinners will be available for eat-in or take out.
The Edenville General Store also serves draft beer and draft hard cider and still offers other selections from its full menu including favorites such as their breakfast sandwich and Italian combo.
The deli/market restaurant also offers catering and its own line of spices and homemade soup
