Dr. Amy Kauffman joins Crystal Run Healthcare in Warwick

WARWICK — Dr. Amy Kauffman, a general surgeon, has joined Crystal Run Healthcare at its office located at 75 Ronald Reagan Blvd. in Warwick.
Kauffman is board certified in general surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Surgical treatments that the doctor offers include breast cancer and benign breast conditions, hernias, appendicitis, gallbladder disease, colon/rectal cancer and benign conditions, reflux surgery, thyroid surgery, skin cancer, abscesses, cysts, hemorrhoids and laser treatment for varicose veins among other procedures.
Minimally invasive surgery and office treatments are available for many conditions. For treatments that cannot be done in the office, Kauffman has surgical privileges at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital in Warwick and several other facilities in the region.
“Having been born and raised in Warwick I am looking forward to again being part of the community and to delivering high quality surgical care to its residents,” said Kauffman said in the press release announcing her appointment.
Kauffman earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station and her medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook on Long Island. She completed her residency in general surgery at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa.
Kauffman has been board certified in general surgery since 2004 and joins Crystal Run previously from her own private practice located in Burley, Idaho.
Crystal Run also offers orthopedic surgery, primary care and obstetrics and gynecology in its Warwick location.
