The wild violets burst into bloom, the peepers were beginning their spring serenade and the first of the hardy herbs and perennials arrived at Sugar Loaf Mountain Herbs. It was-a perfect April evening for a group of women to get together for a workshop on making Fairy Dish Gardens. Participants brought their own special dish and assorted stones and crystals, and the creative fun began. Owner, Alicia Frosini instructed the group on making the dish gardens using a variety of succulents, which are very easy to maintain, but also spoke of establishing a fairy garden with herbs and flowers to delight the senses as well as the fairies! Sugar Loaf Mountain Herbs is located at 1361 Kings Highway and is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. All plants are grown at their nursery, which is also located in Sugar Loaf.
