WARWICK — On Thursday, Sept. 5, local officials and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors joined owners Ryan and Katie Hansen and their staff for the grand reopening of CrossFit Warwick at its new location.

The strength and conditioning firm recently moved from 56 Forester Ave., where it first opened two years ago, to much larger quarters in the rear of the Mechanical Rubber building at 77 Forester Ave.

“Due to the growth of our community,” said Katie Hansen, “we have taken our facility to the next level in order to provide our members with more space for our innovative workouts and more room to host events, like our upcoming annual Barbells for Boobs on October 19. We are excited to expand our gym and community and look forward to participating and hosting more events in our wonderful, supportive community. Come visit us in our new home-the doors are always open.”

CrossFit Warwick focuses on short, high-intensity workouts that vary each day and promote broad and general overall physical fitness using the functional movements of pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting and running.

Classes are run by the Hansens who said they are committed to teaching proper technique and fostering an understanding of sound fitness and nutrition.

Workouts, scaled to ability, are relative to what clients can handle. And the group-class format is designed to encourage a healthy competitive spirit to achieve the client’s best personal performance.

CrossFit Warwick is an affiliate of CrossFit Inc., which certifies CrossFit trainers and licenses the CrossFit name to gyms.
