Craft Beer Cellar Warwick celebrates grand opening

Craft Beer Cellar Warwick, located at 93 Main St., which primarily sold beer by the bottle, is now under new ownership and offers a tap room, draft beer, a well-curated food menu and crowlers in addition to packaged beer to-go.
On Saturday, April 13, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton and Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Michael Johndrow joined the new owners Kyle Hanzas, Josh Roth, and Brandon Strother to celebrate a grand re-opening event with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The new owners stated that Craft Beer Cellar Warwick plans to bring the Hudson Valley region of New York an unparalleled craft beer retail experience, with a focus on local, regional, United States and International breweries.
"This region," said Roth, "is absolutely blowing up right now with incredible craft breweries that people are traveling from all over the Northeast to visit.
"We want to contribute to the scene," he added, " by offering the best retail and taproom experience possible, which will only strengthen the Hudson Valley as a top beer destination in the country."
Partners Strother and Hanzas added that the owners want to know their customers by name, share their passion with them and provide the education needed for them to feel informed and confident in their selections.
The new owners also undertook a renovation of the roughly 1,000 square foot space. In addition to retail shelves and coolers, they built out a full bar with 20 draft lines and about 30 seats, a kitchen serving dishes such as a charcuterie board and a variety of sandwiches, and a to-go crowler bar.
"Our goal with the shop," said Roth, "was to provide more of a community center. We wanted to not only offer the best possible beer to-go, but to also provide a space where the people of Warwick could come together over a pint and a bite to eat."
Craft Beer Cellar Warwick is independently owned and operated. It is part of the Craft Beer Cellar franchise, which opened in 2010 in Belmont, Massachusetts, and now has 32 locations across the country.
