County executive candidates to face off on Oct. 25

— The two candidates for Orange County Executive will be answering questions in a debate scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Twin Towers Middle School, 112 Grand Ave., Middletown.
The incumbent is Steve Neuhaus of Chester, a Republican ad former Town of Chester Councilman now serving his first term as county executive. He is being challenged by Democrat Patrick Davis of Monroe, a West Point graduate and Iraq war veteran who works in finance industry.

Government efficiency
Education and the workforce
Agriculture and open space
Health and healthy communities
Economic development
Arts and culture
Land use
The debate is free and open to the public. It is being sponsored by the Orange County Citizens Foundation in conjunction with the Orange County Chambe of Commerce, Leadership Orange, the Orange County Partnership, the Orange County Land Trust, and the Orange County Arts Council.
