WARWICK — Country Chevrolet is supporting Warwick Soccer Club through the Chevrolet Youth Soccer Program.
Over the course of the youth soccer season this fall, Country Chevrolet will donate equipment such as soccer balls, ball bags, ball pumps, field cones, coach’s kits, corner flags, scrimmage vests, mini pop-up goals and First Aid kits.
In addition, the club will take part in the “Chevrolet Youth Soccer Breakaway Giveaway,” a fund raiser in which each organization can raise $10,000. The “Chevrolet Youth Soccer Breakaway Giveaway” also features a grand prize of a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, along with other prizes such as HD televisions, courtesy of the local Chevrolet dealership.
Youth soccer participants also will have a chance to attend a clinic with local professional soccer coaches.
Country Chevrolet is sponsoring Warwick Soccer Club as a part of Chevrolet’s nation-wide commitment to support youth sports, one community at a time. The 2012 program will provide assistance to 314 organizations in the Northeastern region and Chevrolet dealers will contribute more than $500,000 in monetary and equipment donations, according to the company’s press release describing the collaboration.
“We are looking forward to a great season with Warwick Soccer Club that will be filled with exciting games and an enhanced experience for the teams through the equipment and cash donations” said Frank Petrucci of Country Chevrolet. “Chevrolet Youth Soccer is just one example of how committed our dealership is to supporting the youth and families in our community.”
The Warwick Soccer Club, Inc., a member of the East Hudson Youth Soccer League, is a not-for-profit organization with a seasonal enrollment of 800-900 kids and young adults, according to its Web site (www.warwicksoccer.com). It's mission is "to promote the ideas of sportsmanship, responsibility, community pride, and physical fitness, without discrimination, to boys and girls of all abilities."
