Community garden meeting rescheduled for March 9

WARWICK — A community garden is always at the mercy of Mother Nature, even in the dead of winter.
Because of the snow, the season kick-off meeting for the Warwick Community Garden and Orchard, originally scheduled for March 2, will now take place this Saturday, March 9, at 10 a.m., at the Warwick Valley Community Center.
Interested new members as well as returning members are urged to attend to learn about some of the new things planned for the garden’s tenth season.
“Over the years, we’ve had everything from Master Gardeners and experienced orchard people to novices,” said Sara Werling, a member of the Steering Committee, “and people keep coming back for the joys of getting their hands into good, Warwick dirt and seeing all those delicious fruits and vegetables grow."
