College notes

Graduations
The following students have graduated from the University of Scranton:
Shernai C. Bentley of Warwick earned a bachelor of science in forensic chemistry.
Katherine D. Juliano of Warwick earned a bachelor of science in nursing.
Annemarie Miles of Warwick earned a bachelor of science in criminal justice.
Emma Crone of Warwick was among the class of 570 students at Nazareth College in Rochester who received undergraduate degrees during the college’s 86th commencement exercises held Sunday. Crone received a bachelor of arts degree in music.
She also had been named to college’s dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester. To qualify, a student's grade point average must be at least 3.5 or above.
Timothy Matthew Sattler of Warwick graduated from Clemson University in South Carolina with a master of science degree in environmental engineering and science.
Rachel Sander, the daughter of Melissa Browne and Jerry Sander of Warwick, earned a bachelor of arts degree in the liberal arts from Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers. Sander is a 2009 graduate of Warwick Valley High School.
Sander interned at Bronx News Network and Psychology Today. She was a right-to-write facilitator and a resident advisor. She also did fieldwork at the Chellamuthu Trust during a South India term abroad.
The following local students graduated from Clarkson University in Potsdam:
Robert D. Howell of Florida received a bachelor of science degree with distinction in mechanical engineering.
Jeff Oettinger of Florida received a master of business administration degree.
Dean’s list
Matthew K. Unick, a resident of Warwick, was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2013 semester at Alfred University. He is a sophomore in the College of Professional Studies. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to qualify.
Unick is a business administration major. A graduate of Warwick Valley High School, he is the son of Kevin and Laurie Unick.
