Graduations
Daniel Schiavo of Warwick received a master’s of science degree in recreation from SUNY Cortland following the completion of the fall 2012 semester.

Dean’s list
Kim Scoppetta, the 2012 Warwick Valley High School valedictorian, has made the dean’s list at Tufts University in Medford, Mass.

Sara Cahill, a graduate of Warwick Valley High School, has been named to the dean’s list in her first semester at the University at Albany. Sara is majoring in environmental science and has a 3.9 GPA.

The following local students were named to the fall 2012 dean’s list at SUNY Buffalo State.

Hannah Benjamin of Pine Island, who is majoring in interior design.

Caitlin Waters of Warwick, who is majoring in journalism.

To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Brian Nazari of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham, located in Madison, N.J.

Jared Petrassi of Warwick has been named to the dean’s for the fall 2012 semester at SUNY Brockport.

To qualify, a student must earn a grade point average between 3.40 and 3.69.

The following students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Morrisville State College:

Jessica Gurda of Warwick.
Dean Gieger of Warwick.

To qualify, a student must achieve an average of 3.0 to 3.99 for the semester and complete 12 credit hours.

Warwick residents Gregory J. Miller and Ryan C. Miller, the sons of Arlene and Daniel Miller, have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Rowan University, in Glassboro, N.J.

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must earn at least a 3.45.

Gregory is a 2009 graduate of Warwick Valley High School and Ryan is a 2012 graduate.
