Dean’s list

Kaitlyn Fox of Pine Island was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at the University of Albany. Kaitlyn is an environmental science major with a concentration in ecology. She is the daughter of Dianna and Michael Fox.

Programs, honors, advancements

Cadet Shane William Connolly, son of John and Dianne Connolly of Warwick, has completed cadet basic training at the U.S. Military Academy.
Connolly entered West Point on July 2 and has successfully completed six weeks of cadet basic training, one of the most challenging events cadets will encounter over the course of their four years at the academy.
The initial military training program provides cadets with basic skills to instill discipline, pride, cohesion, confidence and a high sense of duty to prepare them for entry into the Corps of Cadets. Areas of summer instruction included first aid, mountaineering, hand grenades, rifle marksmanship and nuclear, biological and chemical training.
Connolly began classes Aug. 20. Connolly graduated from Warwick Valley High School. He plans to graduate from West Point in 2016 and be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
