Dean’s listVictoria Rose Marley of Warwick has been named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2014 semester at SUNY Cortland, where she is studying speech language pathology.

The daughter of Steve and Pat Marley, Victoria is a 2012 graduate of Warwick Valley High School.

Adina Benedetto has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2014 semester at Mitchell College in New London, Conn.

Adina will be graduating at the end of Spring 2015 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Hotel and Resort Management. She graduated from Warwick Valley High School

She is the daughter of Joy and Jerry Benedetto of Greenwood Lake.

Alissa Balacky, of Florida has been named to the Honor's List for the fall 2014 semester at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, N.J.

To qualify, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).

Abi Rowe of Warwick has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2014 semester at Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

To be eligible, a student must carry 14 or more credits and achieve a grade point average of 3.5.

Rowe completed 10th grade at Warwick Valley High School before leaving to begin college early.

Bard College at Simon’s Rock, founded in 1966 and nestled in the Berkshires, is the only college in the country specifically designed for bright, highly motivated students ready to enter college early, usually after the 10th or 11th grade.

Ciara B. Ryan of Pine Island has been named to the Vice President's List for the fall 2014 semester at Mohawk Valley Community College.

The Vice President’s List at MVCC recognizes students who achieve a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.74.

Ciara is seeking a degree in Graphic Design.

Honors, awards, programsCiara Ryan of Pine Island was inducted into Mohawk Valley Community College’s Lambda Beta Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society recently during a ceremony held in the Schafer Theater on the Utica Campus. Phi Theta Kappa is the International Honor Society for two-year colleges and the largest honor society in American higher education.

Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is offered to students who have a 3.5 GPA or higher with at least 12 credit hours in a degree program.

Deirdre Davis of Warwick was one of 31 SUNY Oneonta student-athletes named to the State University of New York Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and Commissioner’s List for the Fall 2014 season.

To qualify for the All-Academic Team, a student must be varsity athlete who has completed the entire season and earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.3 for the semester in which they competed. In addition, to be named to the Commissioner’s List, the student athlete must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 based on three semesters at the institution.

Davis, who is majoring in Biology, was a member of the Cross Country team.
