Graduations Katelin Blaine of Warwick was among the 232 students who received graduate degrees from Providence College during the college’s 94th commencement exercises held May 20. Blaine received a master’s degree in business administration.

Keighla Blaney of Pine Island graduated from York College of Pennsylvania on May 19. Blaney earned a bachelor of science degree in recreation and leisure administration.

Steven Krell Jr. of Warwick graduated from Binghamton University on May 19 with a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering and minor in sustainable engineering. He also was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester.

Colleen Therese Long of Warwick has graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree from The University of Scranton. Colleen has been accepted in the master of science in rehabilitation counseling program at the University of Scranton. Colleen also is participating in an international service program in Guatemala through the university this June. She is a 2008 graduate of Warwick Valley High School.

Dane Drevitson graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth with a bachelor of arts in psychology on May 27. Dane, a Warwick Valley High School graduate and the son of Dana and Nancy Drevitson, will pursue a master’s degree in psychology.

Tracy L. Baumann of Warwick received a medical assistant diploma from the Dover Business College in Passaic County, N.J., during commencement ceremonies on May 12.

Tom Folino has graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, Pa., with an AAS degree in welding and an AAS degree in manufactured technology (machining.) Both degrees were conferred with highest honors for 4.0 GPAs in both majors.

Tom is the son of Ross and Madelyn Folino of Pine Island and a graduate of Warwick Valley High School. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and is a self-employed artisan who designs and produces metal work in Centre Hall, Pa.

The following students received bachelor’s degrees from The University of Scranton:

Marissa S. DiMartino of Warwick majored in secondary education - citizenship/history and history in the university’s Panuska College of Professional Studies.

Colleen T. Long of Warwick majored in counseling and human services in the university’s Panuska College of Professional Studies.

The following students were among the 531 graduates who were awarded a combined 547 degrees and certificates during comment ceremonies at SUNY Orange in May:

Dean’s list Kirk P. Morgan, a 2011 graduate of S.S. Seward, was named to the president’s list at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy for the second consecutive semester. Kirk finished his first year with a 3.53 cumulative average and plans of continuing with next year with a concentration in engineering.

Preston G. Oakley a senior from Warwick who is studying biology and economics, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio.

Jacqueline Kasal of Warwick was named to the dean’s list at DePaul University for the winter quarter of 2012. In order to qualify, students must earn above a 3.0 grade point average on a four-point scale.

Ross Theron Imbrie of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa. The dean’s list recognizes grade point averages of at least 3.6 out of a possible 4.0.

Ross is the son of Edward Imbrie and Hilary Tsai and is a 2008 graduate of Warwick Valley High School.

The following students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa.:

Joseph J. Mackey III, the son of Joseph and Kathleen Mackey of Warwick and a 2008 graduate of Warwick Valley High School.

Cristina L. Martin, the daughter of James and Donna Martin of Warwick and a 2011 graduate of Warwick Valley High School.

A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean’s list recognition.

The following students were named to the president’s list for the spring 2012 semester at SUNY Oswego:

Patrick Bauer of Warwick, a sophomore (adolescence education).

Timothy Mullhaupt of Warwick, a sophomore (broadcasting and mass communication).

Anthony Triola of Warwick, a senior (public justice).

The president’s list represents the top 7.3 percent of Oswego students. To qualify, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.80 and above on the 4.0 scale.

The following students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at SUNY Oswego:

Tyler Barbariantz of Florida, a junior (applied mathematical economics).

Joseph Briggs of Warwick, a senior (business administration).

Julie Jacques of Warwick, a senior (psychology).

John Krell of Warwick, a sophomore (software engineering).

Nicholas LaTorre of Warwick, a sophomore (economics).

To be included on the deans’ list, students must have a semester grade average of 3.30 to 3.79.

The following students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at the State University of New York at Geneseo:

Sarah Horton from Florida Benjamin Durland from Warwick.

To qualify, a student must have achieved a 3.5 grade point average while taking at least 12 credit hours.

Liza M. Gergenti, daughter of Vincent and Margaret Gergenti of Warwick, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at Hamilton College.

To qualify, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above.

Gergenti, a rising junior majoring in neuroscience, is a graduate of Warwick Valley High School.

Honors, programs, awards The following students were selected for membership in the PericleanHonors Forum, which works to strengthen intellectual life at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs and to encourage the academic aspirations of highly motivated and talented students. Formal membership in is based on academic accomplishment.

Hannah Emery, a member of the Class of 2014. She is the daughter of James and Colleen Emery of Warwick.

Pierre-Francois Wolfe, a member of the Class of 2015. He is the son of Frank and Marie-Christine Wolfe of Warwick.
