Graduations
Joseph Slicker II of Warwick has graduated from the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi with CERT degree in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.


Dean’s list
James Balsamo of Warwick has been named to the Dean’s list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the Spring 2013 semester

The dean’s list recognizes full-time students who maintain grade-point averages of a minimum of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 and have no grades below “C.”

Balsamo studies aeronautical engineering.


Daniel Zakzewski of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa.

To qualify, a student must achieve at least a 3.60 semester grade point average out of a possible 4.0.

Zakzewski, a electrical and computer engineering major in the Class of 2015, is a graduate of Warwick Valley High School. He spent the 2013 spring semester studying engineering, German language and culture in Lafayette’s faculty-led program at Jacobs University Bremen in Germany. The program enables Lafayette engineering students to study abroad while keeping current with the requirements for their major, taking classes from Lafayette professors as well as those at host institutions. They also take part in field trips, which are planned and led by Lafayette faculty with the help of local organizers.


Shawn Howell of Florida has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester at the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi.

To qualify, a student must have an academic average of 3.50 and above and take six credit hours or more within the semester.

Howell is majoring in Construction Management - Design and Building.


Honors, programs, awards
Veronica A. Tesser of Warwick has been awarded a $6,000 Dean’s Award from SUNY Oswego in recognition of her past academic achievement and potential for success.

Tesser, from George F. Baker Tuxedo High School, has reserved a place in the incoming freshman class for the fall semester. She is scheduled to begin classes Aug. 26.


Philip Pascarelli of Florida has received a $1,000 Merit Award as a new transfer student at SUNY Oswego.

Pascarelli, from SUNY Orange, has reserved a place for the fall semester at Oswego. He is scheduled to begin classes Aug. 26.
