Graduations
Rachel White of Warwick graduated this spring from the University of Delaware’s Lerner College of Business and Economics, majoring in Marketing with an MIS minor.
She was also named to the University of Delaware’s Dean’s List for the Spring 2017 semester and six of eight semesters at Delaware.
White is employed as an associate project coordinator at Precision for Value in New York City.

Jarvis Coates of Warwick, who earned an associate’s in Electrical Construction and Instrumentation.
Johanna De Santo of Warwick, who earned a bachelor’s in Nursing, Summa Cum Laude.
Kandice Haughton of Warwick, who earned an associate’s in Nursing.
Michael Houlihan of Sugar Loaf, who earned an associate’s in Construction Technology.
Timothy Joyce of Warwick, who earned a certificate in Mechatronics Design.
Johnathan Maslanka of Pine Island, who earned an associate’s in Information Technology Management, cum laude.
Dean’s List Trevor Young, a finance major from Warwick, was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2017 semester at Nichols College in Dudley, Mass.
The Nichols College Dean’s List recognizes students who have achieved high grades during a single semester. In order to be included in the Dean’s List, a student must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.2 for at least 12 credit-hours and receive no grade below a C+ during the semester.
The following students were named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2017 semester at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh:

The Dean’s List distinction is awarded each semester to students who have carried at least 12 graded credits with a minimum semester GPA of 3.5.
Douglas (DJ) Mendenhall Jr. of Warwick has been named to the Dean’s list for the fall 2016 and spring 2017 semesters at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.
To qualify, a student must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher.
Mendenhall was also named to the Empire 8 Athletic Conference President’s list. Recipients of this honor must earn a 3.75 grade point average or higher while participating in a conference-sponsored sport.
In addition, the student-athlete must display positive conduct on and off campus and be enrolled full-time at the member institution. Mendenhall is currently working as an intern in the finance department for Rochester Regional Health and entering into his senior year at SJFC where he is majoring in Finance and Economics.
He is a pitcher for the college’s baseball team.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must have an academic average of 3.50 or higher within the semester.
Eleni Blu Wechsler, a senior majoring in ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Rochester, has been named to the Dean’s List for academic achievement for the spring 2017 semester.
Wechsler, a resident of Warwick, is the child of Barbara Wechsler and Norman Wechsler and a graduate of Warwick Valley High School.
Madeline Jane Hoey, a sophomore majoring in biochemistry at the University of Rochester, has been named to the Dean’s List for academic achievement for the spring 2017 semester.
Hoey, a resident of Warwick, is the child of Nanette and Stephen Hoey, and a graduate of Warwick Valley High School.
Brittany Vreeland of Warwick was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2017 semester at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Dean’s List status is awarded to students who have successfully completed their course work with a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 score.

Honors, awards, programs Katherine McDermott of Warwick has been elected as the University at Albany Student Association’s Director of Health and Sustainability.
The Director of Health and Sustainability serves as the facilitator and lead coordinator for all Student Association community service projects on behalf of University at Albany students.
This position also assists the organization on matters of community relations.
Ashleigh Roche of Warwick has been inducted into the Mu Delta Chapter of the Order of Omega at the University of Albany.
This organization serves to recognize juniors and seniors who have exemplified high standards in the areas of scholarship, leadership, involvement within their respective organization and within their fraternity or sorority, campus and local community.
