GraduationsNatasha Morris-Battle of Warwick graduated with honors from Berkeley College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Administration – Management.

She also was a member of the college’s Honors Program, a selective, interdisciplinary and seminar-based educational opportunity offered to a limited number of high-achieving students.

Nicholas Canevari of Warwick has received his Doctorate Degree in Veterinarian Medicine from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated fourth from a class of 300 and with highest honors.

Canevari is the son of Jamie Harrington and Paul Canevari. Currently, he lives in Virginia.

Emily A. Sassano of Warwick graduated cum laude from the University of New Haven with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications


Jonathan Grant Jeffery, the son of Diane and Thomas G. Jeffery of the Village of Florida, has graduated from Liberty University in Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management Information Systems/Data Networking. Jeffery graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors.

He is now employed by Liberty University in the Network Services department and will live in Lynchburg, VA.

Sean Corneby of Sugar Loaf has graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers with a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Business.


After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, Augustinus Leen Menken attended, completed and graduated Cum Laude from Seton Hall University last month with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, while continuing as a Naval Reservist. He also is a graduate of Warwick Valley High School.

His parents and family are especially proud of him.

Brian Corbin, a 2011 Warwick Valley High School graduate, has graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

He is now employed by FactSet Research Systems and will reside in San Francesco, California.

Xavier M. Perez of Warwick has graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa., with a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Media Arts, and a double minor in General Business Studies and Arabic Studies. Perez was the vice president of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity, Gamma Psi Chapter and president of Order of Omega Greek Honor Society.

Perez also was a member of the Temple University Honors Program.

John Cattani, Warwick High School class of 2011, has graduated from Pace University in Pleasantville. He was awarded the Scholastic Achievement Award for highest grade point average in the Business School, Business Honors Thesis Award for the best thesis presentation in the business school, Marketing Award, induction in the Beta Gamma Sigma which is the highest recognition an undergraduate business student can receive, and he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a final GPA of 3.98


Kathleen Tobin, a resident of Greenwood Lake, was among more than 800 students from Providence College who received undergraduate degrees during the college’s 97th Commencement Exercises held on May 17. Tobin graduated with a bachelor’s degree.


Elizabeth Starks of Warwick received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

Starks will begin her career in management consulting at Deloitte in New York City in August.

Joseph April of Florida received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Marist College.


Ashley B. Smith of Warwick has graduated from University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Minor in Animal Science. She graduated with distinction Summa Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.9. She also was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2015 semester.

Smith is a former intern writer for “Dirt” Magazine, a sister publication of The Warwick Advertiser.
