Graduations
Thomas Casse of Warwick has graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Flagler College in Augustine, Fla.
Alexis Saccone of Warwick is among 628 candidates for commencement from Herkimer County Community College on May 17.
Alexis Saccone is majoring in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Childhood Education A.S.

A student who graduates with honors is indicated by the traditional Latin phrases summa cum laude, with highest honor (grade averages of 3.8 to 4.0); magna cum laude, with great honor (grade averages of 3.6 to 3.79); and cum laude, with honor (grade averages of 3.30 to 3.59).

Berkeley College students who achieve a grade point average of 4.00 with a minimum of 12 academic credits qualify for the president’s list.
Students who achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or better with a minimum of 12 academic credits qualify for the dean’s list.
Awards, honors, programs
The College of Saint Rose in Albany has announced that Alexa Savaglio of Warwick, the daughter of Tom and Laurie Savaglio, is one of 108 students honored for academic excellence.
Alexa, a senior at Saint Rose, received the Outstanding Senior in Early Childhood Education/Special Education Award.
Outstanding Senior Awards are presented to graduating seniors who have at least a 3.50 grade-point average and who meet other criteria specified by the departments in which they study.
Megan M. Mydosh of Warwick was honored for excelling academically at SUNY Canton’s 2013 Honors Convocation. Megan, a senior business administration-AS major, also received a Canino Achievement Award and Canino Scholar Award.
“Through your hard work and perseverance you have changed the fabric of our college,” said Interim SUNY Canton President Carli C. Schiffner to students at the May 1 ceremony. “Many of you are not only very accomplished academically, but also have given numerous hours of your time for service to our campus and community. We are a better institution because of your hard work and dedication.”
The college’s Honors Convocation is an annual, formal ceremony designed to recognize students’ academic, civic and overall achievement.
