College notes

Graduations
Brian Gallagher of Warwick received a bachelor of science degree in marine vertebrate biology from the Stony Brook University School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. He was the recipient of the Dean’s Choice Award and undergraduate honors for his research on winter flounder in Long Island bays.
Brian is pursuing graduate studies at the University of Maryland where he will be a research assistant at the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory in Solomons, Maryland.
He is a 2009 graduate of Warwick Valley High School and is the son of Ken and Mary Ellen Gallagher.
Scott P. Sicina of the Village of Florida has graduated cum laude with dual degrees in civil engineering and surveying from Pennsylvania College of Technology. Scott is a 2009 graduate from S.S. Seward Institute and the son of Raymond and MaryBeth Sicina.
Joshua Orenstein has graduated magda cum laude from Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont, with a bachelor’s degree in resort and hospitality management.
Bobby Sheehan of Greenwood Lake graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with bachelor of arts degrees in political science and gender and women’s studies and a minor in history. He graduated cum laude, with a cumulative GPA of 3.62
Dean’s list
Adina Benedetto, a graduate of Warwick Valley High School, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester at Mitchell College in New London, Conn., with a 4.0 semester average.
Adina is a junior at Mitchell College and is studying hotel management.
The following students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester at SUNY Fredonia:

Samantha Marie Raynor of Warwick
Dean’s list students have earned a grade point average of at least 3.30 or higher for that semester out of a possible 4.0, while carrying a full-time minimum course load of at least 12 credit hours.
Benjamin Yates, the son of Stephen and Kathleen Yates of Warwick and currently a theater performance major at Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J., has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 Semester.
The following students have been named to the Marist College dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester:
Nicole Bender of Warwick, a member of the Class of 2013 who is majoring in applied mathematics.
Daniel Johnson of Warwick, a member of the Class of 2013 who is majoring in Environmental Science & Policy - Science Emphasis.
Julia Martell of Warwick, a member of the Class of 2015.
