College notes

Graduations
Bruce Mason of Warwick received his master’s degree in exercise physiology/adult fitness from The University of Akron in May. He worked as a graduate assistant in the Sports Science and Wellness Department while attending school.
Brian Romanczyk has graduated with the class of 2013 from Rochester Institute of Technology, earning a master of science degree in microelectronic engineering. This fall he will attend the University of California, Santa Barbara, pursuing a Ph.D. in electrical engineering.
Brian is a 2007 graduate of Warwick Valley High School and is the son of Vince and Judy Romanczyk.
Honors, awards, programs
Alexa Joanow of Warwick was recently named to The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll for the 2012- 2013 season. The IWLCA honored 190 Division I Student-Athletes from 68 institutions for this National All-Academic Squad.
Alexa was also recently honored by being named to the Northeast Conference Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll. The Student Athlete must maintain a GPA of 3.75 to be considered for this award.
She was also a four-year recipient of the Northeast Conference’s Academic Honor Roll.
Alexa was a team captain for the Saint Francis University Women’s lacrosse team this past season and is currently completing her master’s degree program in physician assistant health science.
She is a 2009 Warwick Valley High School graduate.
