Clearview Vineyard celebrates five-year anniversary of wine tasting facility

WARWICK — June marked the fifth anniversary of the Clearview Vineyard and Winery wine tasting facility at 35 Clearview Lane just off Route 94 between the villages of Warwick and Florida.
It was also an anniversary of the time when the winery joined the Shawangunk Wine Trail.
On Wednesday, June 13, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined owners Frank and Karen Graessle and staff to celebrate the occasion.
Last year Clearview Vineyard and Winery was named number 14 by Travel and Leisure Magazine in conjunction with YELP to the "Top Twenty-five Vineyards in the United States."
That made Clearview Vineyard number one in New York State.
And last September, seven of its wines won awards in the Hudson Valley Wine and Grape Association wine contest with three bronze, three silver and one double gold award.
"With 15 different dry wines, we think you will find many that you like," said Karen Graessle. "Besides the wines we carry local beer, ale and local hard cider on tap."
It's also just a small climb to the top of the scenic vineyard where visitors can enjoy a 15-mile easterly view. And they are also invited to play cornhole games or use the bocce set.
Clearview Vineyard and Winery is open Friday through Sunday, with food and offers live music from 2 to 5 p.m. on weekends, making it a great place for a party.
The wine tasting room can handle 80 people comfortably and the covered front porch another 40 people.
