Citiva Medical marijuana producer breaks ground at former Mid-Orange Correctional facility

WARWICK — On Tuesday, July 31, iAnthus subsidiary Citiva Medical held a ground-breaking ceremony at its Warwick Cannabis Facility on the grounds of the former Mid-Orange Correctional facility’
This past May the Warwick Valley Local Development Corporation announced that medical marijuana producer Citiva Medical LLC had purchased 8.5 acres at the former Mid-Orange Correctional facility for $526,000.
The Warwick Valley Local Development Corporation and the Town of Warwick officially took ownership of the 730-acre property at the closed prison in 2014.

“We are thrilled that Citiva has chosen Warwick,” said Lynn Allen Cione, president of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, as she opened the ceremonies. “Orange County will have 100 new jobs. Thank you.”
iAnthus Capital Holdings, Inc. (ITHUF), a Canadian company, owns, operates and partners with licensed cannabis operations throughout the United States.
Now its wholly owned subsidiary, Citiva Medical, LLC has begun construction on its 39,500 square foot medical cannabis cultivation and processing facility in the Town of Warwick.
The facility will implement high-end technology and cultivation practices to maximize efficiencies and production that will enable an estimated yearly production of 2,400 kilograms - or more than 5,290 pounds - of medical cannabis.

‘We are an agricultural community’The Warwick site can eventually support up to 125,000 square-feet of total cultivation and processing space and will be built out in several phases. Phase 1 is projected to be completed in the first half of 2019.
