Chumley's BBQ claims 'Best Ribs' title

VERNON — Chumley’s BBQ & Catering Company of Florida, N.Y. won the coveted “Best Ribs” title in a juried rib cook-off as determined by a panel of judges, showcasing their new smoker as well as their talents during the 4th annual Rock, Ribs & Ridges festival presented by Franklin Sussex Auto Mall in Vernon on June 9.
Chef Dan Lemire and Chef Jay Altamore manned the grills as competitive rib teams and musicians such as Charlie Daniels, The Outlaws and The Marshall Tucker Band fired up the mountain at the Hidden Valley Club ski resort.
Chef Dan and partner Jason Gaer opened Chumley’s in 2002 and specialize in serving up all-around suburban backyard barbecue for family outings, wedding receptions and outdoor festivals.
