Community members are invited to bring their beloved but broken items to be repaired at the Chester Repair Café on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Find the café at the Chester Senior Center, 81 Laroe Road, Chester.
Repair Café is a community fix-it clinic. Participants can bring household items to be repaired for free—by neighbors, for neighbors. Repairing helps to reduce waste, conserve resources, and build community.
There will be volunteers with these skills, ready to help: electrical and lamp repair; sewing and mending; knife, scissors and blade sharpening; computer repair; bicycle repair; gluing wood and pottery; and jewelry repair.
Attendees must be checked in by 1:30 p.m. to participate. There is a limit of two items per person. No gas- or propane-powered items are allowed. All are welcome and participants do not need to be Chester residents.
