Chamber of Commerce holds 23rd annual Taste of Warwick
WARWICK — The weather was near perfect as more than 220 guests enjoyed the 23rd annual Taste of Warwick on Tuesday evening, Sept. 12.
There was also 29 vendors providing food and beverages.
Guests had a choice of outdoor seating on a 4000 square-foot patio under clear blue skies or mingling with friends in the huge tent while sampling gourmet dishes and wine. Everyone also enjoyed live music by Longchamp & Manzo.
Each year the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce holds A Taste of Warwick as a showcase of the region’s best restaurant chefs, caterers, markets, florists and wine merchants.
The event takes place on the picturesque grounds of the Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery. And, as the Taste of Warwick highlights local cuisine, it also contributes to a sense of community.
This year the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce was also celebrating 23 years of hosting this popular event.
Peck’s Wines and Spirits holds the record for having participated every year since the event was first held.
The Landmark Inn, however, only missed one year because of a last-minute and unforeseen circumstance.
And lets not forget that Arturo Romiro, now an American citizen who came here from Mexico and worked in local restaurants like the Landmark Inn and Lovey’s, has been handling the cleanup detail every year since it began.
The chamber’s executive director, Michael Johndrow, thanked the vendors, the owners of the Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery and the sponsors for their generosity all these years.
“We appreciate all of those who participate and who take time away from their own businesses to make our annual Taste of Warwick a success,” he said. “And we urge everyone in our community to support them.”
