Celebrating the Fourth of July

The following is a schedule of fireworks displays in the area:
Friday, June 28: Bear Mountain State Park
From 5 to 9 p.m., visitors can dance to the sounds of Party Time Productions and children can enjoy the bounce house on the field. Bear Mountain’s concessionaire will sell picnic fare from an outdoor tent and have merchandise for sale. The Merry-Go-Round will be open. Fireworks go off at dark. Parking is $8 per car.
Saturday, June 29, Warwick
Warwick’s fireworks will be held 10 p.m. at Memorial Park. Rain date is June 30 or the following Saturday, July 6.
Thursday, July 4: Monroe
The Independence Day festival begins at the Mill Ponds in Monroe at 6:15 p.m. The fireworks display will start at 9 p.m. sharp. Rain date July 5.
Saturday, July 6: Woodbury
Woodbury will host a fireworks display at dark behind the Central Valley School on Route 32.
Saturday, July 6: West Point
The West Point Band’s 2013 “Music Under the Stars” concert series begins with the band’s Independence Day Celebration at 6 p.m. at West Point’s Trophy Point Amphitheater, There will be fireworks at the end of the performance. In the event of rain, the concert will take place on Sunday, July 7.
