Castricone to announce candidacy for Congress

    CENTRAL VALLEY — Republican Dan Castricone will announce his candidacy for Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District, currently held by Democrat Sean Maloney, on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m., at the Falkirk Estate and County Club, 206 Smith Clove Road in Central Valley.

    Castricone is a former Orange County legislator and a former deputy supervisor of the Town of Tuxedo.

    He is a founding member of the Tuxedo Little League Board and serves as president, Order of the Sons of Italy in America, HH Rogers Cabrini Lodge.

    He is currently president of Castricone Enterprises Inc, an insurance, brokerage and financial services company and a radio host at WTBQ in Warwick.

    He earned a BA in economics from SUNY Buffalo in 1987 and a juris doctor, cum laude, from Pace University School of Law in 1997.

    He and his wife Marie are the parents of three children.
