Calvary Baptist Church to dedicate its new Ministry Center on March 3

WARWICK — When the Rev. Craig Adams Jr., pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, accepted the position to lead the congregation back in 1996, he shared his vision to build a Ministry Center for the people of Warwick.
After years of prayer and months of planning, Calvary Baptist Church rejoices in the completion of the 9,400-square-foot building, which adjoins to its existing church building.
The building currently includes a gym with basketball and volleyball courts and a youth group room where you can find 20 to 30 teens every Friday night.
The Ministry Center is for both parishioners and non-parishioners alike.
“We wanted to provide a place for the people of Warwick to form relationships while being active and some even a little competitive,” Adams said. "Step inside the gym on any given Monday or Tuesday night when men’s basketball is going on, or on Friday nights when the Youth Group breaks out in a game of '4 Corner Invasion' or '3-Team Volleyball' and you fill find just that.
"Having a safe place for seniors to walk during the cold months and women to get active in a friendly game of volleyball are additional activities we are looking to host," the pastor added.
As a solid, Bible-centered church, Calvary Baptist Church has been making an impact throughout the Warwick community, not only within the walls of the church, but by participating in community outreach initiatives, including their annual Applefest presence, Vacation Bible School, Harvest Party, Live Nativity, Abilities Day and the donation of the Curvy Slide to Warwick Playground Dreams.
All are invited to join us as we rejoice in God’s provision at the Building Dedication Service on Sunday, March 3, at 4 p.m. There will be refreshments following the service.
The church is located at 5 Wisner Road in Warwick.
