Bertoni Gallery celebrates first anniversary of Main Street location

WARWICK — Last year at this time, after 17 years of successful business in Sugar Loaf, Bertoni Gallery opened a second location at 50 Main St. in the Village of Warwick.
On Tuesday, Aug. 21, Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined owner Rachel Bertoni and her staff member Evonne Glynn to celebrate the first anniversary of the Warwick location with a traditional ribbon-cutting.
Bertoni had been a professional designer for the jewelry industry for 30 years before opening Bertoni Gallery in Sugar Loaf.
Then the gallery expanded to the Village of Warwick where you can find her work as well as an array of other artists' creations in various mediums offering jewelry, leather, glass, stitchery, ceramics, recycled items and fine art.
Many of the artists do custom work as well. Bertoni Gallery also has an eclectic mix of international and vintage items.
In addition to the first anniversary celebration there will be an upcoming small works exhibition featuring 25 visiting artists who work in oil paintings, photography, watercolors, mixed media and sculpture.
They will be showcased in a fall showing that will open on Sept. 1 and remain through the Dec, 31.
The opening reception will be on Saturday, Sept. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m., and will feature music, a raffle, hors d'oeuvres, an award ceremony, craft beer tasting presented by the Glenmere Brewery and massages with Jennifer Powers.
"As a thank you for your support during our first year in Warwick," said Bertoni, "we will be giving out raffle tickets for every $10 you spend during the month of August for a diamond ring to be given away on September 1."
EssentialsBertoni Gallery Warwick, 50 Main St., is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
