BELLVALE — On Wednesday, Nov. 28, Town of Warwick Deputy Supervisor James Gerstner and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined proprietors Steve and Rick Pregiato for the grand opening of the Bellvale Market.

The new market, located in an historic building, formerly a general store, at 1503 Route 17A, specializes in seafood, meats, poultry, deli, gluten-free products, and catering.

Steve and Rick Pregiato have been in the wholesale and retail fish market business in Rockland and Bergen counties since 1975. The brothers have been in business together since they were teenagers.

Longtime Warwick resident Steve Pregiato and his wife, Cindy, have three sons ages 15 to 24. Rick Pregiato is single and a resident of Sloatsburg.

The Bellvale Market features a full line of fresh fish along with shrimp, scallops, and South African cold water lobster tails. And Steve Pregiato fillets his own salmon, cod, and branzino’s, which are just some of the seafood items you will find in the market.

“We can also prepare your seafood in a variety of ways listed on our take-out menu,” said Steve Pregiato. “That includes grilled, poached, Cajun, tomato and basil, oreganata, scampi, stuffed with crabmeat or spinach and Francese just to name a few.”

The menu also features deli and specialties prepared daily on the premises. The list includes homemade fresh mozzarella, lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, eggplant rollantini, meatballs, sausages and various imported cheeses. Free-range chickens are prepared in a variety of ways for a take-out dinner.

The Bellvale Market also offers a large selection of frozen gluten-free items and many items on the menu can be prepared free of gluten.

Catering is also available for any occasion including yard parties and barbecues.

“We would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to all of our customers and we look forward to serving you,” stated the brothers.

The Bellvale Market is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
