Auditions for Jubilate Community Youth Choir set for Sept. 18

WARWICK — Jubilate, the Hudson Valley’s youth choir, will hold auditions for the 2013-14 season on Wednesday, Sept. 18

Requirements are good vocal talent and a serious commitment to a rigorous rehearsal and performance schedule.

Different and overlapping choir experiences are offered for grades 4-12: treble choir, concert treble choir, liturgical choir, young men’s chorus and full SATB festival chorus.

You must register by Monday, Sept. 16, to schedule the audition on Sept. 18; call 845-610-3889 and leave a message.

Jubilate (pronounced yoo-bih-LAH-tey), members hail from Blooming Grove, Central Valley, Chester, Florida, Goshen, Hewitt, N.J., Highland Mills, Monroe, Pine Island, Sugar Loaf, Tuxedo Park, Warwick and West Milford, N.J.

Jubilate is directed by David Crone and Steven Wing. The choir has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, at the “Sing a Mile High” in Denver, area houses of worship, community events and charity fund raisers and with the Classic Choral Society and Greater New York Wind Symphony.
