Assemblywoman encourages young leaders

Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt recently spoke with the participants in the Warwick Valley Community Center’s Youth Leadership Academy. The program was designed to encourage shy or quiet students to become leaders. “Speaking up for yourself, sharing your views and public speaking are not skills that come naturally to many people. Even in the State Capitol, many of my colleagues struggle with public speaking or speaking up to share their views. This program is a wonderful opportunity to help children and teenagers become more self-confident and eliminate common fears about public speaking. This is a great opportunity to help make students better leaders both for today and in the future.”
