Assembly members take a moment - and a knee - for a ‘Tebow Prayer’

The New York State Assembly typically begins proceedings by gaveling in, saying the “Pledge of Allegiance” and then observing a moment of silence led by a member of the clergy. On this March 22, no clergy was available, so Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt, R-C-Greenwood Lake, asked her colleagues to join her in a “Tebow Prayer,” so-called for how Tim Tebow, the new second-string quarterback for the New York Jets, observes his success on the football field.
