— Thirteen area students have successfully completed Mediacom Communications' 2014 summer internship program.

Established in 2003, Mediacom’s internship program provides college and graduate level students with practical experience in a professional corporate environment.

In addition, the program helps develop a talent rich workforce for the Hudson Valley.

Since its inception, nearly 100 interns have participated in the program and 12 have gone on to work in full-time positions at Mediacom.

Intern then, employee today
Ruben Martino, for example, began his career at Mediacom as an intern in the summer 2013. After receiving his bachelor of science degree in finance and management information systems from the School of Management at Binghamton University, he joined Mediacom’s Corporate Finance Department as an analyst in June of this year.

“The experience and training I received while participating in the Mediacom internship program really helped me transition from life as a student to a full-time position in finance,” said Martino. “As graduate of Warwick High School, it is great to be able to return home to Orange County to start my career.”
