GOSHEN — The Friends of the Orange County Arboretum will host their annual fundraising at the Kosuga Greenhouse on Saturdays May 12, May 19 and May 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Bring mom to the May 12 Mother’s Day plant sale, where she will have an opportunity to choose from a selection of plants, including hanging baskets, annuals, sun and shade perennials, herbs and non-GMO tomatoes.
The May 19 sale will also offer a large assortment of planting material to beautify your landscape. Customers will also be able to “design your own planter” at any one of the three sales by appointment. Bring in your favorite window box, pot or container and our talented volunteers will arrange and plant your purchases at no extra charge (there is a nominal fee for soil). To make an appointment for your containers anytime between May 12 to 26, call volunteer Pat Threm at 325-4718.
The May 26 final day sale is your last chance to buy plants grown right at the Arboretum greenhouse under the care of dedicated volunteers. At each sale you will find lots of knowledgeable volunteers on hand to help you with your selections whether you are a novice or an expert gardener.
The Friends accept only cash or personal checks. All funds raised at the sales are used to help our “gardens grow” and to offer educational programs for children and adults throughout the year.
The Arboretum is located within Thomas Bull Memorial Park and is most easily accessed from the Grove Street entrance to the Park off Route 416. For more information visit orangecountyarboretum.org.
