Applefest seeks T-shirt design contest entries

WARWICK — The Applefest 2014 Committee has opened this year's T-shirt Design Competition.

The competition is open to all residents of Warwick, including Florida and Greenwood Lake.

Adult and student entrants are encouraged to submit one or more designs, and the winning design will be printed on T-shirts to be sold at Applefest on Sunday, Oct. 5.

The submission deadline is June 16. The entry form with rules may be downloaded at warwickapplefest.com or picked up at the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce office in the Caboose on South Street.

The following prizes will be awarded:

First Prize: $50 Warwick Merchants Guild gift certificate and your design printed on this year's Applefest T-shirts.

Second Prize: $25 Warwick Merchants Guild gift certificate.

Third Prize: $10 Warwick Merchants Guild gift certificate. The gift certificates may be used at a wide variety of stores, restaurants and businesses in the Town of Warwick.

Entry rules: Artwork image may be no larger than 12 x 12” and must be submitted on paper (no online submissions) in full color. ALL three of the following must be included in the design: Applefest 2014, 26th Annual, and Warwick, NY or Warwick, New York. The artist’s name or signature should appear somewhere at the bottom of the artwork.

Complete and attach the bottom of the entry form to the back of artwork. A stamped, self-addressed envelope for notification must be paper clipped to artwork. Artwork should be dropped off at the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce Caboose on South Street by the June 16 deadline.

The winning design will be selected by the Applefest Committee, and all entries will be displayed in a local store window before Applefest. After Applefest, entries will be available for pickup at the Chamber of Commerce Caboose until November 7, 2014.
