Applefest launches redesigned Web site

WARWICK — The Applefest 2012 Committee has announced the launch of its redesigned Web site at warwickapplefest.com.
The site was created by Warwick residents Mark and Pat Damia of Walling Road Information Technologies. This husband-and-wife team has been servicing local companies and organizations in the Warwick area for more than 20 years.
This recent upgrade provides a fresh new look for Applefest, now in its 24th year. The community festival, which will be held this year on Sunday, Oct. 14, in the parks and streets of the Village of Warwick, is produced by the Warwick Valley Community Center and the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Festival proceeds benefit these and other local non-profit organizations.
The Damias worked closely with the Applefest coordinator and committee to organize the site and its content to be user-friendly and easy to navigate. Some new features include a ticker for special announcements, an Applefest QR code for smartphone scanning, dropdowns for easier navigation and enhanced photo gallery. The site also dynamically adjusts for smartphone and tablet devices such as the iPhone and iPad.
At the request of local orchards and wineries to avoid a conflict with the busy Columbus Day weekend, the Applefest Committee chose this slightly later than usual date.
