WARWICK — The Village of Warwick's annual Sidewalk Sale will be held Saturday, July 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, July 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
New for this year is that chairperson of the event, Corrine Iurato, has introduced "Pickers Paradise," featuring antiques and all things vintage, salvaged, reclaimed and upcycled.
"These are fantastic one of kind finds," said Iurato. "And in honor of the Village of Warwick's Sesquicentennial we are adding this antique parody to our Annual Sidewalk Sale."
The event will take place on Rail Road Avenue and Main Street.
Noble Pies will also sponsor a pie-eating contest on Sunday at 1 p.m. Pre register with Noble Pies.
The 2017 July Sidewalk Sale is open to non-competing outside vendors as well as participating merchants.
And non-profit, civic and religious organizations were also invited to participate free of charge.
The Merchant Guild is accepting vendors until July 5.
Iurato explained that participating shop owners use the Sidewalk Sale and in store specials as a way to clear out old stock, promote new items with incentive prices and also meet new customers and greet old ones.
The annual Sidewalk Sale is hosted by the Warwick Merchants Guild with local shops and eateries contributing to fund the event.
