Warwick - The Warwick Fire Department sponsored a water drill Saturday, Oct. 20, in a pond near the Warwick airport. Fire departments from Warwick, Greenwood Lake, Chester and New City participated, along with EMS of Warwick. The scenario included an overturned row boat, and two people and a baby in the water. Two volunteers played the roles of the men in need of rescue. A doll was used as the baby. Greenwood Lake fire boat and New City rubber boat launched divers into the water to search for the victims. The rescuers weren’t able to save the (doll) baby.
