Lions Club golf outing wet, but a success

Warwick — With threatening skies overhead, and the green expanse of the Warwick Country Club beckoning, 66 golfers took part in the 44th annual Warwick Lions Club Golf Outing on Monday, May 15. At 9 a.m. sharp, 33 golf carts headed to their respective tees for the start of the fundraising event. After three holes were completed, the rain began, but the golf gods were good, as the rain subsided and the event continued. The club considered the event a success, thanks to the Warwick Valley Country Club, the golfers, the volunteers, and the sponsors and businesses - that gave of their time, money, and merchandise. The profits will help the group serve the sight- and hearing-impaired, locally and globally, and a host of other philanthropic projects.
