Lincoln Memorial Boulder rededicated
| 29 Sep 2011 | 08:44

The Lincoln Memorial Boulder Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Nyack, features at left a bronze plaque of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, and right, a bronze replica of the Grand Army of the Republic badge, which had been broken off above the star. The Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War Camp 124 raised funds to have the damaged portion recast and replaced by artist David Frech (most famous to Civil War scholars and enthusiasts for his Lincoln and Tad sculpture in Richmond, Va.) in October of 2005. The rededication ceremony will occur at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, at 59 South Broadway in Nyack.
